prizes & rules for 2026!

It's that time of year again on Canim Lake! Be sure to place your guess before March 15th at 10am! Contest form will be taken away at that time.

- In front of us we have 5 inches of ice, but can see open water towards the island.

SOUTH POINT RULES

• Guess the day and specific time you think the ice will be completely out of sight from South Point Resort! (Yes, there might still be ice in bays and corners, but this is ice out of sight from our property). 
• These are Price is Right rules, so you can't go over. Not even a minute. 
• One entry per person. 
• Guesses must be between 8am and 10pm. Any bets outside this these times will be excluded, because we aren't waking up to check the ice.
• All information must be correctly filled out to be successfully entered. 
• It is up to each individual to research weather forecasts and projections as those will not be provided. Past winner information provided at bottom of this page. 
• Once your bet is placed, it can't be changed. 
• You can NOT see other people's bets, so we have up-levelled the competition. 
• If you are not able to collect prizes in person, you are responsible for the cost of shipping or you can donate your prize to the BC SPCA South Point Fundraiser efforts. Please note, we will not be shipping food items. 
• If you are a winner, your name will be published on our website and social media channels with your winning prize details. By entering you give permission for your name to be published. 
• WATCH FOR SCAMMERS! We will contact the winners directly and will never ask for payment information to secure your prize.
