Leanne and Bear have been coming to the Cariboo together for almost 20 years and made the move up here full time in 2019. Since then they have put in extensive upgrades and built the resort into a special experience in the Cariboo. Together Leanne and Bear oversee resort happenings and are very involved. They have enjoyed getting to know all the guests and look forward to expanding the business and operations in the future. South Point Resort is their home and Canim Lake is a very special place for them both.
Growing up in 100 Mile House, Tanya is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the area. She has spent many years in hospitality and this will be her fifth season at South Point Resort.
Tanya is meticulous when it comes to room cleaning and resort process - and is very detail-oriented, which makes for an amazing guest experience. She also is a Gemini, loves nature and anything heart-shaped :)
We are so thrilled to have Rick and Deb here back with us for a second season! They will be parked up in site #17 and will be helping out around the resort. They are originally from the Lower Mainland and have camp hosted at other campgrounds before as well. Be sure to say hi to them (and their dog, Sadie!).
Sabrina moved from Quebec with her four dogs to BC almost a year ago. She has owned her own cleaning company for 3 years and loves what she does. She started at South Point in May and is excited to be a part of the South Point family for many years to come!
Roxy has spent her entire life on Canim Lake and loves the water, boating and humans. She will make sure other dogs are on-leash as she can not handle it any other way. She also ensures all squirrels are managed appropriately throughout the grounds.
For those of you that knew him, you know he was an incredibly special cattle dog to us. He was the resort greeter who absolutely loved Canim Lake and everything about the Cariboo. In honour of his memory, we are creating a South Point Resort Fundraiser to raise money for the SPCA in the Cariboo region of BC. We are calling it Ryker's Round-Up - in an effort to gather the troops and help raise money for other animals looking for their forever home or needing proper medical treatments.
The main efforts will be in July each year, but it will be open year-round.
Thanks for your support! We miss you Ryker.
